Penang & West Malaysia Durian Tour 槟城西马榴莲游

The Penang/ Ipoh / Cameron Highlands durian & food trail tour took place from 1 July to 8 July 2012.
The famous Penang durians were in season at that time, and the group took every opportunity to taste and savour the different varieties. In Penang alone, 8 varieties of the top durians in the world were tasted.
In Ipoh the famous Musang King variety was purchased for the group by Juliet Chin and her sister Joyce and brother-in-law Chong.
The group also tasted the various local famous hawker foods and delicacies as the tour went from Penang to Ipoh, and then on the way down to KL toured other areas such as the Cameron Highlands.

  3. Yes, thanks a lot to Juliet, and also to Lily.

No, Celine, it's not so bad. I heard some of us put on merely a kg or so. Even if we gained 5 kg, what the heck! It was worth it! Haha...

  4. Hi..Alan & Lily and all those in the tour team to Ipoh for durians.

What a wonderful way to discover through the above pictures the people I use to know during my teenage days. Juliet, Joyce and Ah Kim (the 3 sisters) and their brother Khuen Sin and me came from the same hometown Kg Simee/Star Park/Wah Keong which are 3 residential areas adjacent to each other.

This is the first time, from the pictures, that I seen Joyce and Ah Kim after 45 years or so though I have met Juliet some 5-6 years ago in Perth.

BTW, Ivan, there is no need to post as "Anonymous" (sorry for the earlier wrong info; you can create a name when you post any comment here, by choosing a name for "Name/URL" but ignore the URL part.
